The team had a two-hour session in the morning and evening on Thursday at a facility about 25 minutes drive from their hotel. Coach Okon, who spoke after the training said he will not leave any stone unturned as the Super Falcons aim to improve on their previous performances on the world stage.

“I’m impressed with the way we have started. I want us to hit the ground running and keep the team focused. We are here for serious business and we are not going to leave anything to chance. The weather here is okay and we are going to make the best of it in our subsequent trainings. It’s going to be a great start for us,” he said.  The FIFA Women’s World Cup starts on 6 June and Nigeria squares Sweden in Winnipeg two days later.
