Pics: 100 died after Indonesian military plane crashes into Medan neighborhood.

No less than 100 persons died after an Indonesian military plane, C-130 Hercules conveying 113 travelers crashed into Medan, the third biggest neighborhood in Indonesia.

As per Indonesia's Air force boss, Air Marshall Agus Supriatna, the pilot told the control tower that the plane expected to turn back in light of engine problem. "The plane crashed while it was turning right to return to the airport," Supriatna said. Additionally talking, police head of Medan city Mardiaz Dwihananto, said a few bodies had been recouped from the destruction. "The bodies were in the debris of the plane and buildings...we are taking the bodies one by one by ambulance to Adam Malik hospital. We haven't managed to evacuate all of the bodies," Dwihananto said. The C-130 mishap is the second time in 10 years that a plane has crashed into a Medan neighborhood. In September 2005, a Mandala Airlines Boeing 737 collided with a swarmed into a crowded area not long after departure from Medan's Polonia airplane terminal, executing 143 individuals including 30 on the ground. Medan, with around 3.4 million individuals, is the third most crowded city in Indonesia after the capital, Jakarta, and Surabaya.
