According to the 1999 Constitution (amended), the president can only remove the INEC Chairman on the strength of an advice from the Senate. Mr. Jega, a former vice chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, who was appointed in June 2009, completes his five year tenure on June 30 this year.
The two strategies are to stop Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress candidate from contesting the election with Jonathan and the replacement of the INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, with a less independent-minded person. Jega, it was gathered, had been described by hawks around the president of being too independent-minded and ‘uncooperative’ despite being given the job on a platter of gold by the president’s men.
OMG! That was all I continued shouting in the wake of seeing the irritating feature that accompanied this story.
A Ghanaian event promoter, Kinto Rothmans (presented above) was mercilessly thrashed by an irate crowd yesterday after he was blamed for being gay. The video has circulated around the web now in Ghana and it demonstrates Kinto being brutalized for professedly having a gay relationship with one Salim. You will see him all bleeding in the video saying “I need chop Salim” when he was asked “You need do what?”. Extremely aggravating. Once more, a few reports say he was even set up.
Ghanaian songstress, Efya, instantly took to Twitter to express her nauseate over the severe attack as well. Continue to see Her tweets and the video bellow.

A previous President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, seems to have at long last stood firm on his decision of a presidential competitor by underwriting the banner bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.)
Boss Obasanjo, who is an individual from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the affirmation amid a meeting with the Financial Times at the dispatch of his life account titled, ‘My Watch’, in Nairobi, Kenya.
“The circumstances he (Buhari) would be working under if he wins the election is different from the ones he worked under before, where he was both the Executive and the Legislature, He knows that.
“He is smart enough, he is educated enough. He’s experienced enough. Why shouldn’t I support him?”
Obasanjo accepted that Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between December 1983 and August 1985 as a military Head of State, is mindful of Nigeria’s difficulties today, and has the capability to guide the country out of them.
It was the first run through the previous president would openly discuss his backing for Muhammadu Buhari. He as of late said that he would just stand up after the race had been led.
Obasanjo, likewise condemned the delay of the election while scrutinizing the nonstop decay of the nation’s assets.
The careful augmentation of the date for this impending race was critical to deflect an extensive and questionable arrangements of Buhari, APC and Jega cooperation to disappoint the electorates by gear.
After the board of state gathering which finished without individuals arriving at a concurrence on the conceivable augmentation of the race date, INEC was asked to look for exhortation and counsel with stake holders, particularly the military who will be tasked with giving security on the decision date.
The consequence of these conferences was clear in light of the fact that, the stake holders made it clear that they were not prepared for the decision yet. They said, should INEC chooses to continue with the election without holding up for a favorable time then, the outcomes will be on their head alone. Subsequently the delay of the race date of which APC is not content as a result of how it will disturb their underhandedness arrangements to hugely fix the decision.
Then, Jega and Buhari have deliberately created and started their gear plans even before the decision happened. They have grown more than 7 center systems to use to guarantee that the result of this decision goes their direction. Here are some of their arrangements.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised the alarm that some people suspected to be agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resorted to underhand tactics, including the purchase of PVCs and the intimidation of some voters to seize their PVCs, in the wake of the recent postponement of the general elections.
The ex-VP shared his view on twitter.
