Obatala Festival Hosted By Ita Oosa Grows For 2016

Once again Ojise Obatala Edena – Oloye Oriyomi Ifagbenjo Orisagbemi and Ita Osa convene their annual Obatala Festival. Obatala Festival celebrates many qualities and attributes of Yoruba sacredscience practice and positive attributes. Among the many attributes and aspects that will be celebrated are those of creativity, transformation of planet Earth, molding of human beings,laughter,etc.

Obatala is the patron and special divinity and protector of differently abled  persons including hunchbacks, albinos,,cripples, dumb, and dwarfs.
Each year the family of Ojise Obatala Edena – Oloye Oriyomi, Olori Yemoo and family members prepare their home and shrine to entertain and celebrateOBATALA. This year the family is adding another day of activities to the Festival that will feature Arts and Crafts sales, sale of educational materials – books,CD’S etc, and a cultural programme involving, steel pan ,calypso,drum and dance presentations.

The Family Day and craft market will be staged at Seigert Square, Alberto Street, Woodbrook from 10.00 a.m – 6.00 p.m on SUNDAY 10TH. JANUARY,2016.
The Festival begins on Saturday 9th. January, 2016  at 2.00 p.m.
Members of the public are invited to attend the Festival and celebrate this Yoruba principle  and energy of  moral and ethical righteousness. Come celebrate!
