Babatope: PDP Will Sack Buhari From Aso Rock In 2019

Ebenezer Babatope, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says his party will “dislodge” President Muhammadu Buhari from Aso Rock in 2019.
Speaking when he visited Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, Babatope accused the current administration of using security agencies to harass and intimidate its opponents.
Babatope said his party was regaining its strength, as the PDP has had good outings in recent times.
“We have been preparing for him (Buhari) such that come 2019, we will become stronger in PDP and dislodge him from Aso Rock,” he said.

“APC’s romance with power would terminate in 2019. You can see that we are already gaining an upper hand. Looking at all the recent elections, PDP triumphed in almost all of them. And by the grace of God, come 2019, we will show the APC the way out of government.”
He advised the president not to “dump democracy for selective justice”, alleging that former President Olusegun Obasanjo used the same approach but “failed”.
“I want to advise him that he should not dump democracy for selective justice, because if he does that, he would destroy himself,” he said.

“I’m an Awo-trained person, I don’t have any grudge against EFCC or DSS. But each time there is anything rising against APC, the EFCC would just go and pick the person to hang.
“The forceful arrest would not work. Obasanjo did it before and it failed. DSS and EFCC must work for Nigeria and not for a party or an individual. Those who are not fighting the cause of the people will never succeed.”
