China To Invest $1 Billion In Nasarawa

Chinese government is ready to invest one billion dollars in Nasarawa State in the next five years through Tongyi group as part of its strategic partnership aimed at boosting commerce and trade.

This was disclosed by Mr. Yong Shubo, the general manager China public procurement in a chat with news men shortly after an interactive section with Nasarawa state government officials at government house Lafia.

Mr. Shubo said that China will invest in the areas of power generation, mining, airport construction, and road construction which are expected to create jobs and generate wealth for the citizens of the state.

Drama: Chinese Woman Rips ATM Machine Apart After guessing it swallowed her card (Photos)

This is really shocking. A Chinese woman caused a dramatic scene at the subway in Changchun, capital of Jilin Province, on Thursday,after she ripped apart an ATM with her bare hands after she mistakenly believed it had swallowed her debit card.
However, according to bank clerks, no cards were found in the ATM in Jilin province. After pulling off the machine's frame and revealing the receipt paper underneath, the woman became increasingly distressed and asked passers-by to help her find her card.

The United States sees China as a serious threat to its military superiority in air and space, so the Pentagon is seeking new technologies and systems to keep America ahead of its rival, the US deputy defense secretary said.

Chinese Billionaire Builds 57 Storey Tower in 19 Days (Photos)

A Chinese company has built a 57-story building in only 19 days in the town of Changsha, China, a construction company official told ABC News. The project, called Mini Sky City, was built by 1,200 workers and includes 800 homes and working space for 4,000 people, the official with Broad Sustainable Building told ABC News. For the man behind it, Billionaire Zhang Yue, this is only the beginning.

An editorial in the Chinese state-run Xinhua news agency blasts the US government for its attempts to steer Britain away from China's new infrastructure investment bank.

The United States has launched into paranoid hysteria by criticizing the United Kingdom for joining the Beijing-headquartered Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), China's state-run Xinhua news agency announced on Friday.

"The US has again launched into paranoid hysteria by manifesting its skepticism toward China's creation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank."

China's Court Sentences Eight to Death for Xinjiang Terrorist Acts

China's Court in northwest Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region has sentenced eight people to death for two terror attacks earlier this year.

Reportedly, the terrorists had ties to the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, a radical Islamist organization. The Intermediate People's Court in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region has handed out the death penalty to eight people for two bombings, which resulted in the deaths of 46 people, in the far western region of Xinjiang, inhabited by the Uyghur minority.
