Tinubu Under Pressure To Float New Party


•Fear grips Buhari, loyalists
THE future looks bleak for the All Progressives Congress (APC) as indications emerged that the ruling party is beginning to develop cracks among its leaders.
The National Daily gathered that certain APC leaders are under pressure to float a new political party over lingering disaffections on emerging decisions and actions in the control of the Federal Government under the party’s hegemony.

Tinubu distance self from attacks on Fashola (Snake in the Green Grass?)


Former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu has distanced himself from the recent attacks on former Lagos Governor, Raji Fashola. In a statement released from his media office today August 26th, Tinubu accused PDP of working towards causing a division in the APC after losing woefully in the last elections. He said no matter the devise used, APC will always surmount it. He went on to state that his hand and heart are not in any way connected to the recent attacks on the credibility of the Fashola-led administration. His statement in part reads;

Change can’t come by magic, it is driven by people - Tinubu

National leader of APC, Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari led government saying that change can't come by magic. He added that change comes with planning. Tinubu said this after a meeting with President Buhari earlier today.

Court adjourns N150billion suit filed by Tinubu against AIT

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has adjourned the N150billion libel lawsuit former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu filed against TV station AIT today May 27th. Tinubu had filed the suit against AIT in March for airing a documentary titled "Lion of Bourdilion" which he alleged was aimed at tarnishing his image.


At today's hearing, counsel to AIT told the court that they had filed a counter-claim against the Tinubu, which has been served to his counsel and had not been responded to. Counsel to Bola Tinubu while responding asked for an adjournment of the case, stating that they were only served the counter-claim two days ago and will need time to respond to it. The judge granted his request and adjourned the case till June 30th.

Tinubu writes on turning down offer to be Buhari's running mate


Statement released by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his withdrawal from consideration for the APC Vice- Presidential Position.
I am a Nigerian who loves his country and am hopeful about what it can become. I have seen and conducted myself as a patriot long before I thought of myself as a politician.  I shall always walk this line and no other.
After all the political calculations are made and the dust of competition has settled, it must be this nation and its people who  stand first and foremost.
