A South Carolina woman has been sentenced to life in prison after she hired a teen to kill a man and he killed the wrong man by mistake. Authorities say 41-year-old Karlita Desean Phillips of Greenwood hired a 17-year-old to kill her estranged husband in 2013, but he killed her husband's brother, 31-year-old Jamil Phillips, by mistake. Investigators say Jamil Phillips was ambushed as he slid his key into the door of his home in Abbeville.

Boko Haram: Buhari to visit Cameroon July 29th - 30th

President Buhari will be visiting Cameroon from July 29th to July 30th for further discussions with President Paul Biya on ways to combat Boko Haram activities in the West African region.

The meeting took place yesterday July 27. President Buhari had called for the meeting with the APC lawmakers to seek for ways to resolve the leadership crisis rocking the lower chamber but the meeting ended in a deadlock with both factions, the Yakubu Dogara faction and Femi Gbajabiamila faction, refusing to bulge and sticking to their different positions. President Buhari however told the members to respect the party's decision. The house has been in a lingering crisis after the Dogara faction rejected APC's decision to make Femi Gbajabiamila the House Majority leader.

5 year old Nigerian boy, Omobolade Ogundare, was hit by a car on Bennett Street in Gorton and dragged along the street for a few kilometers on Saturday July 25th. He survived being crushed to death after two men stopped the car and managed to lift the vehicle off him.

18 month old baby found dead in a hot car


Police say an 18-month-old boy found dead in a hot vehicle in Arkansas last week was the son of a juvenile court judge, Wade Naramore. The Hot Springs Police Department said Monday it was conducting a criminal investigation. It says the boy's death was likely due to "excessive heat."

As per reports, a criminal court in the Libyan capital of Tripoli has sentenced Saif Islam, the child of the late and previous president Muammar Gaddafi, to the death penalty.


CAIRO (Ooduarere), Lolade – A criminal court in the Libyan capital of Tripoli has sentenced Saif Islam, the child of the late and previous president Muammar Gaddafi, to the death penalty, Al-Arabia reported Tuesday.


Others getting capital punishment after court hearings included the prime minister and the leader of the nation’s intelligence services.


The previous authorities were discovered blameworthy of perpetrating atrocities amid the 2011 agitation, including the homicide of tranquil demonstrators.


Saif Islam Gaddafi was sentenced in absentia, as he is held in the Libyan city of Zintan by nearby forces who decline to follow Tripoli’s administration.

FG to reduce fuel imports as Warri, Kaduna refineries begin production

THE Federal Government said it would soon reduce its import of refined petroleum products as two of its key refineries in Warri and Kaduna are set to bridge the demand gap in local consump¬tion.
